BRIDGES: What’s God got to do with Science?
What’s God got to do with science? Come out and explore this question for our first ever BRIDGES event. The purpose of BRIDGES is to help us think well about how God and spirituality connects with all different facets of life. All of the talks given will focus on a variant of the question, “What does God have to do with [fill in the blank]?” Each event will have a featured speaker, as well as time for extended Q+A and dialogue. We have invited exciting speakers to address several important topics.
The speaker for our first BRIDGES event is Dr. Arnold Sikkema. Dr. Sikkema is Professor of Physics at Trinity Western University and executive director of the Canadian Scientific and Christian Affiliation.
The event will be held at Great Dane Coffee on Wednesday, October 23 from 7:00-8:30pm. This is a free event and all are welcome, you do not need to be a UBC student or community member to attend.
Please note, while this is a free event, Great Dane Coffee will still be open. We encourage everyone to purchase a drink or pastry before the event. Andrew from Great Dane is being very generous in letting us use the space, let’s be kind back 🙂
